Caleta de Fuste
Caleta de Fuste is situated on the east coast of the island, approximately ten minutes from the airport.
The village of Caleta de Fuste is centred on an old fishing port which is still used by the local fleet. Its harbour is home to many yachts and catamarans. The town consists of a long main street lined with low-rise buildings containing a good selection of restaurants and bars at very reasonable prices.
There are also a number of quality shops and good supermarkets within the local area. The man made beach has been carefully constructed to avoid currents and is in the shape of a horse shoe, this makes it a very calm and safe beach. A host of water sports, boat trips and even undersea excursions on a submarine are on offer.
Caleta is steadily growing in facilities and popularity, the latest addition being a second 18 hole golf course.
Caleta de Fuste’s central location makes it a good base from which to explore the rest of the island. It is well connected to the capital, Puerto del Rosario.

A few minutes walk from a golden sandy beach set in a bay and shaped like a horse shoe which makes for very safe bathing.

Caleta de Fuste has developed around the original cove and harbour where you can visit an oceanarium and from where various sightseeing and fishing boat trips leave.

Caleta offers a wide range of bars and restaurants, catering for all tastes and cousine types.

golf course
There are two really excellent courses in Caleta de Fuste, one of which hosted the Spanish Open in 2004. Quite an achievement for a course which only opened in Spring 2002.

At the Atlantico shopping centre, you will find a supermarket, cinema, showing films in Spanish, an amusement arcade with a bowling alley, several restaurants and some designer shops.
